Rapid plasma freezing with controlled air technology

LUNDAIR Freeze develops air-based freezing systems for plasma and other temperature-sensitive products.

Our freezing technology uses controlled high-velocity airflow and dedicated freezing positions to provide rapid and uniform heat transfer.

The LF-24 is LUNDAIR Freeze’s current medical device platform for controlled freezing of plasma. In addition, LUNDAIR provides customized freezing solutions for specific customer and industrial applications.

Controlled rapid freezing

The LF-24
is designed to achieve a plasma core temperature of ≤ −25°C within 60 minutes
under specified operating conditions. Actual freezing time depends on product configuration, load and operating conditions.

The low maintenance cost, low energy consumption and high utilization rate mean a low freezing cost per bag in the LUNDAIR freezers.

Automated Monitoring

Sensors detect when bags are added, and the freezing process is automatically tracked. The control panel indicates when the desired freezing cycle is complete.

Continuous loading

New bags can be added continuously without affecting the freezing process of earlier added bags.

Low engergy consumption

Only one compressor is needed to maintain this temperature giving a low production cost per unit. The quick start-up time also means low energy consumption.

The patented air distribution system gives excellent heat transfer between the products and the circulating airflow, regardless of how many freezing compartments are used.

Fast and Compliant Freezing

No downtime - Weekly defrosting

Under most circumstances weekly defrosting is enough. This means continuous freezing eight hours or more a day, five days a week, and still defrosting by the end of the week is enough.
This makes a high utilization rate possible.

Sound of silence

Effective sound silencing combined with silent components mean our freezers stay below 60db at all times.
